My name is Ivor Hawkins, I was initiated into Richmond Lodge No 2032, in Middlesex, while I was working as a motor trade magazine Editor, back in the mid 80's.

I worked my way through the offices to the chair of King Solomon in 1992 and was soon appointed an active Provincial Grand Steward for the Province of Middlesex, a role I thoroughly enjoyed, despite travelling in from "the sticks".

I joined the Prince Michael of Kent Lodge No. 9120 and remained a member until 2009 when I had to step down due to the increased commitments to Oxfordshire Freemasonry as a member of Theodore Lodge No.8943, going through the Chair in 2006, Oxfordshire Installed Masters No.7770 and Amery Lodge No.8316 as Lodge Secretary in 2016. I was Exalted into Saint Barbara Royal Arch Chapter No.7701 going through the chairs in 2005 becoming Scribe E in 2009 and joined Oxfordshire First Principals No. 7770 and Wychwood Chapter No. 2414.

After being promoted to Past Provincial Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies and subsequently Past Provincial Grand Superintendent of Works in Middlesex, I was appointed Active Provincial Grand Steward in Oxfordshire Provincial Grand Chapter and subsequently, Provincial Assistant Grand Secretary and Provincial Assistant Grand Scribe of Oxfordshire until being appointed Provincial Grand Secretary of Oxfordshire in 2010.

I was honoured with Grand Rank in 2015 a Past Assistant Grand Director of Ceremonies.

I am also a member of a number of other orders including the Order of the Secret Monitor of which I am Provincial Grand Recorder, Knights Templar and a Recorder in Rose Croix.

I am honoured to be appointed Secretary of the Oxfordshire Lodge of Provincial Grand Stewards and I am dedicated to making it a Steward's Lodge of which we can all be proud.
